Jimmy Choo Illicit was introduced on the market in August 2015. The face of Jimmy Choo’s advertising campaign is the amazing chameleon model and singer Sky Ferreira. Photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Panos Yiapanis, Sky appears grabbing a big bottle of the fragrance like a child grabs a teddy bear and that’s a sweet pose that we didn’t see for a long time from Ferreira’s portfolio.
The fragrance was developed by the perfumer Anne Flippo who said: “I imagined a remarkable yet audacious fragrance, with a tempting signature. That’s why I decided to lay down a fizzy start and floral heart on a unique honey-amber structure. Built around sensuality and addiction, it offers radiance and timeless elegance.”
It opens like a sparkling cocktail, sprinkled with ginger syrup and oranges. The heart is a pink rose with burned sugar edges. The aroma of rose gives the fragrance a feel of seduction and sensuality. The base notes are described as a duo between honey and amber, who transform the perfume into a floral-gourmet scent. You must like very sweet, very feminine scents to like this one. The unique flavor will blend perfectly with your skin, which will dress you with a mysterious feeling.

Seductive and instinctively this perfume is described as a part of confident woman wardrobe, courageous and charming. It brings up the temptation of those who spend their life at maximum intensity. I would not think to this exactly illicit, but somehow more seductive.
In my opinion, it’s not too sticky but sweet enough to catch attention. If you are a honey fan, my guess is you will like this fragrance. If you love warm, floral-gourmands, and you are a fan of scents like YSL Black Opium, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Bon Bon, or Prada Candy, then you will absolutely love Jimmy Choo Illicit.
I would rather consider it a winter – autumn scent, than proper for the hot season. The longevity is good, lasting for at least 6 hours. The projection is very powerful for the first couple of hours and it keeps going. The bottle design is modern, stylish and elegant made of a fin and high-quality glass, as I would expect from this brand.
The composition is light yellow and it reminds me of an early fall. But also looks like a bright sun reflecting through crystals. As for the disadvantages, how it doesn’t have a unique and original flavor, it is possible not to please those who prefer classical, distinctive or elegant scents. The fragrance is available as 40, 60 and 100 ml.
