At the beginning of 2018, Chloe launched a new fragrance of its limited collection, knew as Chloe Nomade. This is a Chypre Floral fragrance which evokes the modern and independent woman who dares after so many centuries of silence to make her words heard. The designer of this scent is Quentin Bisch. The inspiration of the entire composition is found in the freedom and desire to empower the contemporary woman.
Shot by Fleur Fortune in Rajasthan, the cinematic campaign is utterly dreamy. The model is Ariane Labed, a French actress, born in Athens. For her role, Ariane dances on rooftops and motorcycles through sand dunes, all with perfectly disheveled hair.
Chloe Nomade Qualities
The fragrance starts with a citrus rain dominated by bergamot, lemon, orange, and Mirabelle plumbs. The heart features a bouquet made of three classic flowers namely rose, jasmine, and freesia. The end is the one that is expected, it is a sensual patchouli patch, sandalwood musk, and amber wood.
- Top notes: Freesia
- Heart: Mirabelle plum liquor
- Base notes: Oakmoss
Once on the skin, the blend of ingredients settles into a warm, floral finish. It is fresh, earthy, floral, floral without being powdery. It has a bit of mystery, warmth, depth and spicy.
The fragrance is the new interpretation of femininity, a combination of strength and delicacy, freedom and the passion to discover the world in all its forms. The secret of these ingredients is balanced by the base of the oakmoss, which gives to the whole composition depth, sensuality, and sophisticated resonance.
The shape of the bottle follows a familiar design of the Chloe brand, finding its inspiration in one of the classic bags of the house. It’s a scent that you can wear it at work, or out on a fun summer day. Clearly, is a summer fragrance which can easily fit all the ages. Longevity on me was over 6 hours, and sillage was moderate.
Nomade is advertised as a feminine perfume, but its lack of distinct florals and domination by artificial woody musk make it feel unisex and a little bit unremarkable. Overall it’s a playful optimistic scent, nothing out of ordinary, considering the high price and being smaller in size than other designer perfumes. I would say it is warm and musky but gentle and polite and more ideal for the independent women.
